OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
1. HOW TO ENTER/ WINNER SELECTION:
a) 98KUPD would conduct a text message campaign in which contestants text the key word “TAILGATE” to 77000 and get qualified to win a Grand Prize. Contest starts 12midnight PST on 10/12/2009 and ends 5:00pm PST on 10/25/2009. One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received throughout the sweepstakes period. Grand Prize drawing will be conducted on-air by 98KUPD on 10/26/2009. The name and address of potential winner may be announced on-air following the drawing. 98KUPD reserves the right to notify and/or contact the potential winner by phone and to broadcast all or a portion of the notification phone call on air in either a live or pre-recorded format as determined by 98KUPD. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible/qualifying entries received. No responsibility is assumed by 98KUPD for lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries.
b) 98KUPD would conduct an on-site appearance at participating retail locations in which patrons may enter for a chance to win the Grand Prize. Three (3) Grand Prize winners will be selected in a random drawing at 3pm from among all eligible entries received during the event period. Winner must be present to be eligible. The name and address of potential winner may be announced on-air following the drawing. 98KUPD reserves the right to notify and/or contact the potential winner by phone and to broadcast all or a portion of the notification phone call on air in either a live or pre-recorded format as determined by 98KUPD. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible/qualifying entries received. No responsibility is assumed by 98KUPD for lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries.
c) On a plain piece of 3” x 5” paper, sign your name and also hand print your complete name, address, birth date and daytime phone number. Mail your entry to: 98KUPD / BUD LIGHT TAILGATE APPROVED PARTY @ HARD ROCK, 1900 West Carmen, Tempe, AZ 85283. You may enter as often as you wish, but limit one entry per envelope. No mechanically-reproduced entries permitted. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. on 10/25/09. Not responsible for lost, late, postage due, mutilated, illegible or incomplete entries. All entries become the sole property of the 98KUPD and will not be returned.
2. PRIZES:
GRAND PRIZE: Four (4) Grand Prizes will be awarded, consisting of a trip for two (2) persons (winner and one (1) travel guest) to the Bud Light Tailgate Approved Party @ the Hard Rock –departing on Friday, November 20th, 2009 returning Monday, November 23rd, 2009 (3 night stay). Trip includes round-trip coach air transportation for two (2) from Phoenix to Las Vegas, one (1) double occupancy standard hotel room for three (3) nights and $100 spending money. Activities include two (2) passes to: Friday evening VIP party hosted by Bud Light, Saturday pool side party hosted by Bud Light and evening concert at The Joint, Sunday Cardinal viewing party: Arizona Cardinals vs. St. Louis Rams. Estimated retail value is up to $2,500.00. All other expenses not specifically mentioned herein are solely the responsibility of prize winner. All travel must be taken on dates specified; no alternative travel dates are available. All travel subject to availability and restrictions. Winner and travel guest must be 21 years of age and travel on same itinerary.
3. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open only to legal residents of the U.S. residing in the state of Arizona 21 years of age by 10/12/2009. Employees of 98KUPD, Hard Rock Hotel, Anheuser-Busch its bottlers, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, distributors, suppliers and advertising, promotional or judging agencies and immediate family members of such employees (parent, child, sibling, spouse) and persons living in the same household of such employees (whether related or not) are not eligible to win. Limit one prize per name, address and/or household, cell phone, email address.
4. GENERAL: No substitution of prize is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted and non-cash prizes may not be redeemed for cash value, except as determined by 98KUPD in its sole discretion. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Prize winner will be solely responsible for paying all applicable federal, state and local taxes on prize; if applicable, winner may receive an IRS Form 1099 for the retail value of the prize. No groups, clubs or organizations may enter or win prizes. All entrants, as a condition of entry, agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of 98KUPD which shall be final and binding.
5. WINNER NOTIFICATION: All potential winner(s) will be notified by phone at the postal address/phone number provided in entry. Major prize winners will be required to sign and return to 98KUPD an Affidavit of Eligibility/ Liability Release with (where lawful) a publicity release within 48 hours of first attempt at notification. If any required documents are not returned within the required number of days, or if mail is returned as undeliverable, without a forwarding address, then prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. Winner must personally pick-up prize at 98KUPD offices and present identification for prize to be released. All travel and transportation costs, if any, associated with collecting the prize, are winner's responsibility.
6. RELEASE OF LIABILITY. All entrants, as a condition of participation, and all winners, by acceptance of a prize, agree to release 98KUPD, Hard Rock Hotel, Anheuser- Busch, its bottlers, each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, divisions, distributors and advertising, promotional or judging agencies from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to and from any prize-related activity or any typographical or other error in the printing of these Official Rules or the offering or announcement of any prize. Neither 98KUPD, Hard Rock Hotel nor Anheuser-Busch make any representations nor warranties of any kind concerning the appearance, performance or safety of any prize awarded. Upon request, winners must consent (and confirm such consent in writing) to the use of their name, voice, picture or other likeness without compensation for promotional purposes as determined by 98KUPD.
